Dave Takes Spoke to MBA Students
An overnight layover between Kuala Lampur and Chicago allowed Dave Takes (Accounting ‘81), CEO of the Doerfer Companies in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to share his expertise with UNI MBA students in Hong Kong.
MBA students enrolled in Management Information Systems Concepts were the beneficiaries of Takes‘ very brief time in Hong Kong. Takes provided an overview of the strategic direction of his company, Doerfer Companies. He highlighted the industrial information technology applications which are embedded in the large customized automated production lines designed, built, and installed for Doerfer‘s Fortune 1000 customers all over the world.
Takes also provided industrial examples of the application of information technology to mission critical competitive initiatives by a wide range of customers. His presentation provided real examples and support for the concepts studied by the students.
